Anyone ever hear Canada Fuller tubes. They are made by Shug and have a large line icluding 300b and KT88. Some have what looks like Treasure carbon coating.

Anyone have the scoop on these?

another dog in the race?

with enough cash up front probably any of us could get a custom name engraved on the product / packaging - but I guess it's always a gamble to trust after sales service to new comers.

Other than the serial number labels falling off when heated, I'm quite happy so far with my Pavane EL84 & 12AT7 and Ian / Rachel's service, and am looking forward to a pair of Shuguang 6CA7 expected to ship within the next few weeks.

Liking the ONE year guarantee. A pet peeve of mine.  How do they sound ?  Got me time to find out.
Hey nothing wrong with Grant or their tubes, competition is a good thing. They look like Shugangs . Are they or does Fuller make their own. Could not locate site.

I see from their Ebay ad the location is Hong Kong. Why the Canada Fuller name on the tubes? I don't see a company named Canada Fuller, but I may be mistaken. A one year warranty is too good to be true, so it probably is. Warranties are easy to get out of on tubes. Personally, a USA dealer who has integrity is worth the money. IMO........

Hong Kong eh. I missed that. Most likely made by Shugang. Now using either GE or  RCA  NOS 211s. Would love to do a direct comparison of the new Pavane 211T and the Canada Fuller as well as Sophia and Full Music. Has anyone actually compared the NOS beaties to the new beauties ?

I have a pair of Full Music that lasted about 2 weeks before one blew . really couldn't get a handle on their true performance. Anyone have  [1]one Full Music 211 to sell ?

They're definitely made by Shuguang.  It says so in the ebay ad.  The shape of the glass is a dead giveaway too.  However, the internal structure and base are clearly NOT Shuguang.  Where the internal structure is made I don't know.  Reminds me of Create Audio's tubes.  They make the internals and them have Shuguang put together the tube since few people have the needed tube-making machinery.  I guess this company does the same.

I'd also need some verification on exactly what is covered with this 1 year warranty before I shelled out that kind of moolah.  Rollo, why don't you get some and tell us how they are?

So I finally got in touch with the ebay seller - Hanshare electronics.  I asked for him to elaborate on the conditions of the 1 year warranty and asked if there were any tests done to the tubes after factory testing.  Here's his response:

Dear Valued customer,

please kindly note the quality warranty will make sure the tube will be matched and work smootly in one year. anything that make the tube not working as it should be ( for example noise) or unmatched, it will be covered. buyer need to be responsible for all postage that include sending back to us and we send repaired one or replacement to you. but obviously please understand if you broke the tube and not a vacuum one anymore, it will not and cannot be repaired. basically, if you care about the tube, nothing will happen.

sorry we mean technical data sheet will be sent together, it was checked by shuguang factory themself who are so professional in this field.

Best regards
Ricky

So it seems that every possible failure except vacuum loss is covered by this 1 year warranty.  Me likey!  I wish other manufacturers of tubes would follow suit with this.  I'm not so thrilled, however, about Shuggy's testing being the only testing/matching process.  Personal experience in this regard has left me questioning their quality control and testing methods.  Still, I may take the plunge on a quad in my future.
