Drew wanted a pair of front-ported HT2-TL's in macassar ebony.  But unlike most macassar which is mainly black with lighter grain running through it, he wanted the reverse - lighter gain with black running through it.  He searched and selected some veneer with the coloration he had in mind.  I think they turned out real nice.

Thanks!  As good as they look in the photos... they look even better in person.  I've had them for a grand total of 2 days, but so far I am beyond happy with these speakers!

They kind of look like the zebrano veneer but with larger more contrasted grain. I like the front baffle botton, it looks like the grain over cross each other. Definetly something different.

Jim's posted a lot of pictures since I joined AudioCircle, but those are among the best. That finish is gorgeous. Those tie with the speakers that had the piano black finish and aluminum stringers from a while back. Nicely done!
