Hi all! I'm some-what of a newb when it comes to home audio. I purchased an Icon-2 a few months back and have been using it with my my NuForce headphones, and it sounds great!
So I'm finally looking at getting some speakers for the Icon-2 but I have a question regarding the line-out for the subwoofer. Since whatever sub it's going to use is powered, does it matter what kind of sub you have hooked up to it? Or what the wattage of the sub is?
The reason I'm not (immediately) looking to use the NuForce subwoofer is because I'm looking something with a bit more oomph - as I've heard the W-1 isn't so much a subwoofer as it is a bass extender(only a 5" sub). Also, I'm known to be a bit of a bass-head!
Like I said, I know it's a total-newb question, but I really appreciate the help. If you guys have any other advice regarding a sub for the Icon-2, feel free to throw it my way!
