So I opened the Generator and I plugged in 3 numbers: 211 for spindle to distance, 66 for inner groove and 120.89 for outer groove. When I printed Protractor it showed me additional numbers: 70.701 for inner null, 107.765 for outer null, 228.342 for effective length, 17.342 for overhang and 23.003 for offset angle. Also mentions to "align cartridge to either grid"
Are the numbers accurate for my tonearm? Is there a simple explanation on how to use the generator. I've been searching online but haven't found anything yet.
I see that AVA offers a Cartridge Alignment tool package for a reasonable price. Maybe I should go that route. I was also considering a Geo-Disk but the AVA product seems like it offers more tools

Ok, why would you enter "66 for inner groove and 120.89 for outer groove" when the generator supplies the various suggested numbers for you? Anyway that's why your result was goofy. I think you're mixing up null points with inner and outer groove radius. There are really just two buttons to click,
IEC is the industry standard and the safe bet,
Typical is Conrad's rebellious nature coming thru and is what he thinks modern records are more likely to be, you can try that if you are also a rebel, I am and do. DIN is a Japanese standard and not relevant. Pick the Lofgren A button, which is Baerwald and the easiest to align and the lowest distortion.
Then the generator will produce null points for you, which will be approximately 66 and 120mm. (There are 120 and 80mm references on the print to check if you've scaled the print correctly, which will be NO scaling) After you print the protractor you'll have a wonderful arm specific arc that when lined up solves all those overhang and alignment issues for you, way different than the universal protractors that make you go thru all sorts of gyrations to get proper alignment. Both grids are set up on the two null points, you can use both for super accuracy, or either one, if one is correct both should be, if not you don't have the protractor lined up correctly. To get the hole lined up, cut a cross directly over the middle spot and gently squeeze it over the spindle, don't try to cut a round hole, you can't. When done, the stylus should track perfectly over the arc from in to out, if it does you are in perfect alignment.
