It is always a marker in the passage of time when an icon passes. Lennon, Elvis, Frank, and now Liz.  I don't think I will see a more beautiful woman in my lifetime.  She also should be remembered for her early and tireless efforts to de-stigmatize HIV.  A quote from her that I heard this morning was something along the lines of "with great celebrity comes great responsibility".

Elizabeth Taylor is one of the fortunate few to be immortalized for how she use to look while she was young & vibrant. Most folks aren't so fortunate. Guess that's one of the perks of being in motion pictures.

Rest in peace Liz.

Cheers,

My brother in law and I were discussing her best roles and he suggested Woolf.  I had to humbly agree.

There is a scene from Taming of the Shrew where she flashes those eyes in anger at Burton- my heart skips a beat every time I see it.

I read online that she had a genetic defect that caused a second row of eyelashes to growth. As a child actress on one of her first films a cinematographer thought she was wearing false lashes.
