Mick can't get no satisfaction but I ran across this the other day: a bit on dealer satisfaction in 2010 with the various speaker manufacturers.
I know, Bose is a shoo-in followed by Sony as that's what I thought but wrong again!
In overall satisfaction, the ranking is as follows:
1-Magnepan
2-Paradigm
3-Monitor Audio
4-JL Audio
5-B&W
With none other than Magnepan taking top honors in the following categories:
Performance
Reliability
Technical Support
Service
Ease of Doing Business
Quality of Sales Reps
Distribution Policies
They were ranked Second in:
Dealer Training
Technical Innovation
and rounded out the Top 5 with:
Just-in-Time Delivery
This is from the Dealer perspective so I'm going to do a little more digging around and see what I can't come up with from a Customer perspective.
From my own experiences I can vouch that Karen in Parts & Service is just tremendous. That woman deserves a raise.
If I strike out on owner satisfaction surveys, I'll run a poll on a couple of different sites and correlate the results after 30 days or so. It might just be restricted to planar speakers, though, as covering all types might be a bit too much ground for me to try and cover.
