I watched the John Wayne version of True Grit Saturday on AMC.  The new version with Jeff Bridges and the old version are both excellent movies.  I had forgotten how good John Wayne acted in the old version.

Nope she was 14 in the movie also. I actually didn't know what her true age was but after seeing her at the Awards show, she looks more of 17 so you really surprised me with her true age. Maybe it was just the makeup.

Ah okay, for some reason I was thinking her character was 17. Mjosef mentioned Winter's Bone and I just saw that one a week or so ago...I think HER character was 17, which is why I got mixed up....I dunno....I just know it was a great performance lol
