looking for an inexpensive DAC
« on: 30 Jan 2011, 08:22 pm »
Hey all
I am looking for an inexpensive DAC that someone has lying around. This is my first adventure up the up sampling and/or oversampling road.
I will be using a standard CD player with a digital optical output and will only be using it for 2ch with an old pre-amp.
I know next to nothing about this but just want to see what I hear.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave,
I live in Ste. Genevieve and I have an Entec unit that I am not using.  I would like $100 bucks for it if you are interested.  I have 4 dacs so it has not been overused

Sorry I didn't reply.  I didn't realize you were asking me.  I have a Zhalou, Lite Dac ah, the Entec 203.2 and the Adcom 600. They are all good with little nuances that make them a little different.  I could probably sell another one if you have one you would like to try.
