I'm interested in trying a couple of these. All of the commercially available ones are a little pricey. I currently have mtm point source surrounds and would like to try the multi-poles and see how they increase envelopment. There is so little material in surrounds compared to mains/center I think with some design help I could build something better for less.
Anyone have a link to a DIY multi-pole? I was thinking a single 5 1/4 and run 4 tweets off axis to keep impedance the same as original. Then the crossover calcs would be much easier for me.
Any suggestions?
