SOLD Sophia Baby amp with full factory upgrades, lower price.

I owned a stock Baby amp for some time and finally found this Baby with full factory upgrades--I call it the Big Baby--which has upgrades to all caps, including power caps, connectors (RCA jacks and speaker binding posts), and resistors, but I have to put it up for sale.

I still consider the stock Baby a sweet amp that sounds much better than its price should allow. The Big Baby is better in almost every way: bass, soundstaging, detail.

This comes with a quad of the cryo'd power tubes and a bran' spanking new pair of GE 5670s, fresh out of the boxes. I also have a second quad of the cryo tubes available, as well as seven (I broke one) of the noncryo'd tubes and some other NOS 5670s, if you're interested.

If you have just one source and reasonably efficient speakers, this amp is hard to fault. Not a giant killer of multikilobuck amps--I don't buy that kind of hype--but real musical enjoyment for not a lot of pesos.

Is that a scratch next to the power/toggle switch or just the photo? Can you detial the upgrades? Thank you,

I can't believe no one has bought this amp yet. I see them come and go on A-gon all of the time.

Yeah, you got me. Stock versions at what I'm selling for or more go pretty quickly on A'gon. Why someone hasn't snatched this up is a bit of a puzzle. Oh, well. Someone will get happy sooner or later.

I'm tempted to buy this one and sell my stock Baby. In any case, I can see no good reason for this to be unsold still.
