Comparison of the McCormack DNA-225 and the DNA-250
« on: 21 Jan 2011, 08:13 pm »
I have read some very good reveiws on the DNA products.  If I could swing the money I would opt for the DNA-500.  However it looks like the 225 and the 250 would fit the bill.

Were both of these engineered by Steve McCormack?  If not what are the differences in topology and performance other than the 25 watts.

I have noticed that SMc does an extensive rework and upgrade on the DNA-225.  That does look very interesting.

One of these two candidates would be paired with an 8 ohm 91 db sensitivity speaker that employs a ribbon tweaker array.

It would be fronted with a tubed preamp.
