I would like to comment on my recent and first experience with Omega Loudspeakers. I purchased a pair of A8 upgraded to hemp drivers on Audiogon that were reportedly obtained from Louis at the RMAF. After the very common difficult burn in, these speakers, which I acquired for a second system in a library, are quite simply brilliant! The huge soundstage, almost hallucinogenic imaging and instantaneous dynamics have a certain magic that brings me back to them over and over again. Complements to the flawless cabinet finish and impeccable build quality are also deserved.
I am using the relatively inexpensive and also outstanding Virtue Two.2 solid state amp (I can not be bothered with tubes...) and perhaps there is a synergy between the two I was lucky enough to hit on with the first try.

Thank you for producing a really brilliant speaker which has added much to my enjoyment of music.

Welcome to the club! I've been a happy A8 owner since 2005 after I auditioned the speakers at RMAF. Mine have the original Visaton drivers and are just like those that were reviewed on 6Moons. I saw the listing for your speakers. They are a great design and I can imagine that those hemp drivers are excellent in the aperiodic cabinet. Congrats!

Thanks for the welcome! Like you, I could not be be any more pleased with these speakers. They have me wondering about trading in my beloved Zu's for some Super 8's on my main rig... perhaps someday. These A8's have an almost spectral quality I can not really describe but I never find them fatiguing and seem to be drawn back to them over and over again.

Yes, I've been thinking about moving up in the Omega line myself. Louis is one of the nicest, as well as the most honest person you'll ever meet in the audio business. I've got my eye on some Super 8 or Super 6's. His Hoyt-Bedford line looks very interesting as well. I'm really hoping he comes out to RMAF this year, as I live in Denver. I'll even bring over some Louis Armstrong to audition his speakers with...hint...hint.......
