Hi!

How was the response to the new KWI 200 at RMAF?

What gear was hooked up to it?

OK, so another VERY tardy reply, so I will respond and 'sticky' it so as to bring to the front again.

The KWI 200 was VERY well received at RMAF 2011!  In fact, we played it most of the time and then switched out for the LS 36.5 'DM' KWA 150 Sig. Ed. on the last day (retail value of separates = $18,500 compared to $5K for KWI 200).

The separates were better, but I was surprised at how GOOD they showed the KWI 200 to be!

We also showed with the KWI 200 at CES, where we have both DAC and Phono upgrades (prototype upgrades) and people were VERY taken with this combination, at a retail cost of $6500, for a FULLY loaded KWI 200!

SEE CURRENT ABSOLUTE SOUND FOR SHOW COVERAGE AND COMMENTARY ABOUT THE KWI 200!

We used a Logitech Touch with thumb drive with music, as SPDIF transport and a VPI Classic I with Dynavector 20x H cartridge.  It showed a VERY modest cost system that performed EXCEPTIONALLY well.

We a a couple of weeks now, FINALLY, from releasing the DAC upgrade (USB/SPDIF - fully asynchronous, 24/192)!  The phono is also complete and will ship in about one week.

Thanks!

Dan
