I am offering up my VMPS HT speakers. After some recent auditions, I have decided to change the direction of my system and go to a higher efficiency, 2 channel only system
For sale are possibly the finest pair of 626R speakers ever built. These are built in MLS Piano Black cabinets. The FST tweeter is de-horned for use with the CDWG. They can also be used without grilles by adjusting the tweeter level control.
(SOLD)

They have almost every option offered at the time of construction and a few custom items that never were generally available. They are built to be used with the SuperMax OXO or external passive crossover. The external crossover is built into the speaker stands. The capacitors used in this crossover are Sonicap Gen 1 bypassed with Sonicap Teflons. All values were carefully matched and the crossovers assembled by Brian Cheney.
The wire in the speakers and SuperMax OXO is all BOLDER CABLE Nitro. The connections from the OXO to the speaker are custom finished with 4 mm bananas. This IS a custom SuperMax OXO as it has just one pair of input connectors. No need to bi-wire

Also available is a heavily modded DCX2496.
All mods were done by Mike Galusha.
The mods include:
All analog input/output replaced with Jan Didden's active I/O stage from Linear Audio. This offers not only fabulous analog I/O but remote control of volume and balance and the ability to adjust the gain of the L/M/H amps in the analog domain.
Clock/Input Receiver/Sample Rate Converter replaced with a new piece designed by Frank Oettle of Germany. This provides a very good clock with a jitter spec of 2.6ps, a much improved input receiver to replace the stock Crystal chip which has a bug when receiving 2/496 data. The new daughter board includes two ultra quiet voltage regulators to ensure clean power for the clock.
Digital input rerouted from WBT NexGen RCA jack directly to input transformer and transformer terminated with 75ohm precision resistor instead of stock 110ohm AES/EBU termination.
Ultra low noise 5V regulators on DSP/Digital board replace 7805 regulators to supply clean voltage for the digital and analog sections of the DAC chips.
Hard Maple end panels replace the nasty rack mounting ears.
Universal remote included.
Along with the Piano Black 626Rs is a LRC, also built with Megawoofers and Soundcoat. There is no grille cover for the LRC. Finish is dark oak.
