4b sst power packs
« on: 18 Nov 2010, 10:12 pm »
Ok.!...........   if Bryston won't do a miniblock 4bsst  will there be a possible upgrade to the present powerpack versions.? Perhaps this is the more professional approach to this idea. I would need one more good power cable but worth the investment no doubt............REDBOOK....(.thanks to all opinions on this ) :violin:

Redbook,

you mean that the PowerPaks SST should be upgraded to SST2?  when memory serves me right then James once said that they just didn't have enough time to do it.

Yes , I recall . My idea is that instead of ever  going to the production expense of creating new chassis they sometime would upgrade the packs. The idea of a very short speaker wire is a good approach if you are willing to reach behind each speaker to turn on the amps. ha, ha,.. I considered this pack idea  when I bought my 4B ST. and maybe again if we get them taken to their maximum potential.Happy listening...........Redbook

I like the idea of repackaging the PowerPacs or maybe the channels in a 6B to make 4B mono amps?
