Porcupine Tree-"Arriving somewhere..." Concert DVD
« on: 11 Oct 2010, 03:47 pm »
I picked up this concert DVD over the weekend and if your a Porcupine Tree fan or just a fan of good DVD concerts, this is a good one. Excellent sound either PCM or DTS can be picked in the setup menu, its footage from Chicago concert in October 05' and is a real treat to watch. I've recently started to listen to this group and enjoy their music, the drummer is quite a talent I must say... :thumb: :thumb:

Check out PT's latest DVD concert "Anesthetize". I saw both shows live. You need to see them live.
Gavin Harrison is an awesome drummer. He has two CD's with O5Ric. Circles & Drop.
Also check out Riverside's DVD concert "Reality Dream" These guys are very good with a much better singer.

Thanks Ed. Checked 'em on Utube. Prog rock that rocks. Good stuff indeed. And yes Mr. Harrison is quite the talent. The drum throne might have a new king.

I got a chance to see this DVD on a killer system. I was not a huge fan but had some stuff on comps. The sound and music is killer but I did not care for the strange artsy way they put it all together. I would much prefer to just see it like it was with zooms on different players at appropriate times.

Yeah, Gavin kicks ass. I saw him drum for King Crimson along with Mastelotto (double drummers) in '09 and was completely impressed. He is in the ranks of Wekle, Chambers, and others for sure.
