Procedure for installing a phono stage

Hi James,

I recently sent my BP25 back to Bryston to have a moving magnet phono stage installed. Mike Picket said it takes about a week. I was curious as to what the procedure is. The cost is $550.00, a week seems like a long time if you factor in the cost of parts and labour.

Hi Steve,

Once the phono stage is installed it has to go through our 100 Hour burn in (4 days) and final check out just as if it was a new product..

Hi James,

That would have been my guess.

100 hours of burn in and a final check out is great...

so long as you're not waiting for it

It seems like forever, but after you get it, it doesn't seem like it took too long.

I went through the same agony when I had my B60 upgraded.  It's definitely worth the wait.  You'll say the same after the fact.
