New Nora Jones album

I just got an E-mail offering a preorder on Nora's new CD, although I can't remember the title just now.  I won't bother to preorder it, but I sure will be waiting to buy the disc.  Wonder if it'll be out on SACD in a timely fashion?  Great as the CD version of "Come Away With Me" sounds, the SACD is even better.

I believe the new ones title is "Feels Like Home". Read it somewhere. The big question, will it be a hit or a miss ? :tempted:

I had read somewhere that the new disc was going to tilt more towards a Country sound moreso than jazz...

She has duets with Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton both.  UUgghh!

Take it back home.
The quality of this new CD is an atrocity!!

Hmmm...to each his own, I guess.  I like the new one about as much as the last one, which is to say pretty enjoyable.

I am happy to say that we unanimously voted to NOT hear Nora Jones at the NY Audio Rave meeting on Saturday.

Think that says enough.

It is not the artist or the music to which I object.
The recording itself technically is an atrocity. I have auditioned 4 copies of this CD.
Four are veiled and distorted.
I enjoy this artist tremendously, too bad she has to be married to such an inept production!
Plaese send me a good copy Bluu Note.

Oh, I see.  Hmmm...I guess I hadn't really noticed.  But then that's not one I've really played much in my main rig- it mostly gets played in my room while I'm on the PC, and not even in the sweet spot.

I do regret that BN isn't releasing any more SACDs.  Damned shame, as "Come Away With Me" sounds fantastic on SACD.  Actually, the CD version even sounds great, it's just not as good in stereo as MC.

If you have one of the bad recordings, you can't help but notice.
Cut one a big curtain so veiling you think twice.
Cut two, so distorted, I pulled off my driver covers to see if I'd blown a speaker.

I haven't done a lot of critical listening, but no, mine doesn't sound like that.  Odd that you'd get that many bad pressings, and odd that no one else I've talked to has had that problem.  That's a shame, as the music is pretty good.
