Bill,

Are you all set with this used Dynavector?  If not and you need some help PM me.  I have a Ortofon Kontrapunkt A that is practically new (less than 10 hours on it) that I could loan you for a few months until you get back on your feet.  I think I paid about $900 for it new so it is in the same price class of your Dynavector.  It's one of two backup carts that I have (the other is a Benz Copper Reference but I'm not willing to loan that one out).

I don't know if the Ortofon is a good compliance match with your tonearm, so you would need to check it.  If that works out then I will offer my help if you need it.

I understand Bill.  A few years ago I had the cantilever come off a $1,500 Benz.  :o  Saying I was upset would be an understatement.

When I first moved into my house I knocked over one of my mint M&K S1b speakers while I was hooking up my system. It took a serious spill on my newly installed hardwood floor. The tweeter cabinet actually broke off of the woofer cabinet. They're still sitting in my basement in the corner of shame waiting for me to build new cabinets for them. :duh:
