The power supply is humming badly on my ULW10.  Should I just replace the amp (if so with what) is there a source for the 2200 uf 160v filter caps on the power supply? Everything else appears to be working OK.

Dayton plate amp at Parts Express for a full amp replacement, Dane documents it here;

Not sure about just the cap.

Thanks.  I went ahead and ordered the dayton 240B.   I'm sure it will have power enough, as I remember the driver bottoming more than occasionally with the original amp.

I made a ulw10 from a b-stock cabinet and that amp - the woofer definetly can't hang with what that amp can deliver.  I have yet to find a way of sealing the amp up 100% either, as I have siliconed everything and still get huffing out of it's controls at high volume...pretty annoying

I might be having the same problem - not sure - maybe you guys can help.  I got a ULW10 from AV123 as MLS owes me $1,000's in un-delivered b-stock and RLS speakers.  Well, I managed to get the time to plug it in last night and as soon as I connected an interconnect to the LFE I get a loud hum - rather more than a hum actually - more like a rumble.  Am I doing something wrong or is this a dud?

Any pointers would be appreciated - thanks
Will

Can you make a sealed compartment for the amp?
