Well, I did it!!   After 16 years as a SuperTower II A/R SE owner (along with a 626 as center) I took the BIG plunge and ordered the RM/X's, with TRT and silver wiring.  I can't wait!   Thanks John for being a great dealer.  Thanks Eric for the info and support to make this commitment (he's thinking, geez, didn't take much).  I always had the RM-40's in my sight, but decided...ah, what the hell.  Problem now is: the domino effect.  The center channel now needs to become either an LRC or maybe even a pair of 626r's; although the RM-30 horizontal thing is something I'll stay tuned to.  The sides and rears were actually going to be the first step (replacing Alon Centris dipoles with 2 pair of 626r's) but now they'll be step 2, most likely.  Brian convinced me my Krell amp still has enough juice to  drive the RM/X's biwired as I do now, although currently it's blowing fuses and may head back to Krell-ville for awhile.  My new Ray Samuels Stealth 2 channel tube preamp can't wait to show it's stuff with the RM/X's.    ...I feel like that guy on the riding mower on that  Lendingtree ad "I'm in debt up to my eyeballs...somebody Hep me!"

Congrats!

If you ever want to get rid of the Krell I highly recommend the Rowland 201's.

The are driving the 40's beautifully in my room and Eric uses its much bigger brother (302/4) with his RM/X's.

John, you can send me my kickback now

Congrats ted_b, I think you made a great decision and will be getting a world class speaker at a bargain price.

I definitely would second the Rowland amp recommendation.  I've never been a big Krell fan.  Great choice in the RS-1A preamp by the way!
