I posted something in the Open Baffle circle in response to a question about my kits, but only part of it shows up. I can go to edit it and it is still all there, but does not show up.

I then cut and pasted it here and it still does not show up. I have no idea why at this point.

I get the same thing at times.  If using IE make sure it's in compatabiltiy mode and then be careful when using semi-colons.  If you have a link in that post, remove it and see if the text shows up.  If it does, then it's the link format.

I have trouble when I say see here: with the link

I tried posting it with IE and Firefox with the same results. It could be the links in the text giving it a hard time. I will remove them and see if the rest shows up.

Thanks,

Links removed and it allowed the text to all be seen. That is odd. I have including links many times and never had that happen.

go to the end of your post and press delete.  Hold for a little while then press enter a couple of time and then post the link.  It will work fine.  No joke!  This is what I have to do sometimes.

Looks like the problem is posting a URL line and then posting text right after it. Hit enter after the URL and then start the next line below it and it works.

It's not often I can share something of actual value in this forum. So here goes...

jtwrace is correct, the problem is with the link. You can post one or maybe two direct URLs
at most. For example:  http://www.gr-research.com/

If you wish to place more URLs than that in your post you must use the UBB format code
of GR Research.

'Not exactly sure why this is so ...just have too much experience dealing with this Bulletin Board peculiarity.

I don't use the little boxes myself for either links or images, I simply type out the format url and /url for links, img and /img for images. Everything stays where I want it in a post that way but of course I always preview the post for mistakes before actually posting it. I've never had any luck using the boxes since the last server change so format typing is the ticket for me.  :thumb:

Another I noticed lately is that the load speed at AC is MUCH faster but the e-mail notifications of posts are MUCH slower.

Ditto! email notifications are around 2-4 hours behind their actual posting time whereas it use to be 5-15 minutes.

Double ditto on the email notifications.  Ocassionaly one will be delivered in minutes, but for the most part, in hours.
