More JBL's for my collection..TY AC!!!!

A couple weeks back I signed onto AC and found a PM in my box asking me if "I'd like a pair of JBL 4311B Control Monitors" a fellow member had taking up shelf space in his garage. My reply was "absolutely" even though I was thinking F__k YEAH!!!...where, when, I'll be over!!!
My youngest son and I picked them up today and when I hooked them up for my kids to hear smiles broke out all around..they understand now why Dad is so crazy about Hi-Fi!!! A big thank you to AC and its members!!

My ex-wife took the kids to a local play and I've got these babies cranked up and singing while they are gone...Oh Baby!!!

I decided I'm gonna paint these Flat Black (maybe Orange)...its easy (I think) and pretty inexpensive, as I have never done this before are these steps appropriate:
1) Mask off the entire front to protect drivers and minimize overspray.
2) Sand down the textured white finish then wipe clean
3) Spray paint with Flat Black or Orange(Rustoleum)
4) Let dry and coat again if needed
5) Put back in system and marvel at my DIY effort.
 Tips? Things I'm missing?
