Hi all,

Is Stereophile or absolute sound going to review the new 4B SST square amp any time in the near future?  Would love to know what their impression of this great amp is now with the added improvements in the treble range as well as the bass?

Back in the stone age, magazine reviews took on biblical proportions and one could spend hours in the library or weeks waiting for upcoming print reviews but today your best source is probably on line from users, although the majority can be extremely biased one way or the other, Bryston or any other gear can be bashed on one forum, glorified on an other.
On the other hand magazine reviewers now put their heads on the chopping block and objective reviews are becoming more common although we may not all agree on the final outcome.
So regardless of who or where it’s reviewed only you can decide, sometimes it take a leap of faith, hopefully you can audition at home.
Having said that here is a comparative review of the 4BSST and 4BSST2.

But we all can agree Bryston always moves forward with better and better products so who needs the reviews except for the photos :D.

True. Thank goodness we have this one! The one at Audiogon isn't bad either!

I have purchased perhaps 1 or 2 audio magazines in the last year or so - and it was only because of the pictures on the cover - seriously. First and foremost, find an audio dealer that you can trust - it is a very difficult task, but they are out there.

Look at the pretty pictures in these audio magazines - see what you may like and let your own ears decide for you.

Be well…

Yeah, I suppose a good dealer is key...especially one that has a fully loaded showroom. A lot of dealers can't afford tons of demo stuff.

While other dealers can but choose not to.
