Martin -

I plan on having the SoundScape 10's and a pair of SongTowers with a ribbon tweeter.

They will be driven by AVA equipment including the UltraValve tube amp on the SongTowers.

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear  :thumb:
Looking forward to it! And thanks for the ticket Jim! (received yesterday)

Jim,

Do you set up Thursday or Friday?  I'm debating wether to visit the show Friday or Sunday.  Friday to beat the crowds but the exhibitors will have a few more hours to tweak their rooms so I'm leaning towards Sunday, better sound.

K,

Did you make it to the show Friday?  Nikkie and I will stop by the show Sat AM on our way to the Giants game.  It will be fun to meet Jim and check out the SoundScapes.

What a fun day!  It was a pleasure to finally meet Jim.  He truly is a kind gentleman.

I enjoyed the SongTowers that were playing with the AVA UltraValve when I came into the room but I liked the SoundScapes even more.

The SoundScapes were a beautiful blend of engineering and art.  The bass is fantastic.  It digs VERY deep but with no "boom" or ringing.  I was surprised given the small size of the room.  Jim agreed that if he had HT3s in the same room that he would be fighting a boomy bass.  The mid range was great and the high end was open and airy.  I was still wishing I could throw an acoustic panel at the reflection points and maybe a bass trap or two...just to see.  But then you already know that I have a fetish for acoustic panels.

The veneer and finish choice was just stunning on the SoundScapes.  Jim opened the curtains to let the light hit the finish and all you could say was "Wow"!

By the way, the Giants won with a 2 run blast in the bottom of the 8th!   Not a bad day...
