An audio review dictionary would be interesting. But no, I don't think it exists. The "warmth, tonality, liquidity" nomenclature is mostly from reading hundreds of reviews and articles.

A tube section in a source component is usually not as dedicated as an excellent tubed preamp.
This doesn't mean it can't be done. I think the Modwright with an outboard power supply would be up to it.

I have been burning in the intial prototype and it sounds GREAT!
It still requires a preamp because the internal volume control in the player is not likely to give you the best sound.
All that being said, I am VERY excited about what I am hearing!
