The way I see it, the better every part of the chain is the better the overall sound will be.

Now with that in mind finding what's better is an adventure all on its own.

Start with quality gear first and tweak it later.  Think of cables as the spice for an already great meal.  Caps too.

Yes they are different (apples and oranges) but i was trying to get a sense of how much tweaking i can get out of a cap when maybe it can be done just swapping out speaker cables.

For eg. I am thinking treble less/more, better bass, more air around instruments, all  sound stage ques basically.

Both cable and cap upgrades will reap benefits, you can't lend one more weight than the other. Keep in mind either option can be quite system dependent.

If you decide caps are where you'd like to start first, I subscribe to the Linn/Naim train of thought. Start with your upstream components.

Tuesday I upgraded my AV123 LS9 crossovers with sonciap platinums and replaced the erse cap with a sonciap on Danny's advice. Danny also recommends 500 hours of break in, so I'm obviously no where near that.

But after two days of running a break in disc I can say the difference is there is pleasantly so. The one thing that really stands out is the microdynamics, little things I didn't notice before or did notice but were smeared in the soundstage have seperated and opened up. The mids and bass are much more articulate and deep? The highs seem a little more airy and seem to be opening up more each day. Curious what more "break in" will do and bring. Best $300 I've spent.

Interesting..... thanks.

Why is everyone on Audio Circle extremely biased towards the SoniCaps? Have most of you actually compared them to at least a handful of other capacitors?

From direct comparison, Solen capacitors sound significantly better. So do cheap ERO MKT1822 caps.

Going up in price range, the Jantzen Z Silver also sound better and so do the Mundorf Silver/Oil caps.

Going back to OP, both wire and capacitors can make a sonic difference. Capacitors probably make a more significant difference, but the two are independent of each other.
Here we go with the absolutes again.

I found Solen harsh, grainy, and can make a speaker sound nasal.  I also found Mundorf S/O caps over rated.

Depending on the application I use Sonic Caps(Gen I or Plat), Claritycap ESA/MR, or Duelund VSF/CAST and occasionally Dayton or Claritycap SA for large values.
