Thanks for the info, Phil!  I'll definitely keep that one bookmarked.

Jed, there were small and new companies there are well.  While, there, I met a guy from another forum I told about the show (he is looking for speakers) and we were in the room for Cathedral Speakers and he looked at the back (at the serial no. faceplate) and asked me where the particular town in VA is located and I responded I lived there and then I had a long conversation with the owner who lives about a mile from me.  There's a list of websites for companies who participated as well.

I checked out the website you linked and was impressed.  Looks like everyone had a good time and the rooms seemed to be a bit more typical of what people might experience in a living room (although a bit reflective).

Yes, there were struggles with the rooms.  This was in the initial show and I'd expect the next one to be better.  I went to the Home Entertainment Show in New York City about 7 years (or so) back and that was of the same vein and of course much more expensive (for both exhibitors and attendees) and bigger.  I've never been to it but there's also the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF) coming up in a few months out West.

Jed,

I notice that for the Melodia RA7.2, you do offer an RAAL 70-10 tweeter upgrade, which of course requires a different crossover.  Do you offer an RAAL/crossover upgrade for the Symphonia 7.2 as well? (there is no price/options sheet for this model).

Also, can you offer an option for building out of bamboo plywood instead of veneered MDF?

We'd have to use the OEM RAAL, but it is not currently available in the Symphonia.

Funny you should mention the RAAL tweeters, as I'm working to update the Duet10 for a client. Here's the Duet10R SE version while in development with OEM RAAL and ultra high end Accuton mid (note there is no finish on the cabinets yet):

This speaker uses the OEM RAAL tweeter, $614 ultra high end Accuton with neo magnet and underhung voice coil, and the Seas W26FX nextel woofer for a bit higher sensitivity than the magnesium woofer.  Pricing hasn't been finalized yet, but expect it to start around 6-8k in standard veneers.

Bamboo construction is an option as well, but the Symphonia 7.2 cabinets are very thick MDF with 1.5" front and rear panels and heavy shelf bracing.

If you or anyone else knows of another manufacturer (amplifier, cable company, digital front end), who is looking to share a room, I'd be interested in RMAF as well.

Jed, I'll send an E-Mail to a friend in the business - not sure if he is going this year but he has in the past.

Symphonia 7.2 ..... (there is no price/options sheet for this model).

I'll work on a spreadsheet with some different options and get that up this week, in addition to what is posted in this thread.
