B-100 SST Integrated Amp

James,

Will bryston be releasing an SST squared verson of the B-100 anytime soon?  Why has this not been done already since the 2B was updated awhile back?  I'd like to buy one, but I want the SST2 benefits.  Thx.  :)

Hi,

The changes in the 2B SST2 amplifier are at the INPUT stage of the amplifier.  So those changes do not apply to an intgrated amp because the preamp section is directly connected to the power amplifier section in an integrated amp.

Jax,

given James' explanation get a 2B SST2 and any of the three Bryston preamps available and you will have the "squared" benefits.

best,

al.

Sounds like the B-100 would perform equal or even better than the separates.  No?  The B-100 skips the issues inherent to an input stage altogether.
