For sale is a Rega P3-2000 with Shure M97xe cartridge. I purchased the table used several years ago. The cartridge I purchased new more recently. The combo has seen light use in my son's system, but I can't really estimate the hours on the cartridge.

The tonearm has some paint missing where the cartridge is connected, but otherwise the table and arm are in good cosmetic condition. The dust cover has its share of light scratches, but there are no cracks. The table works and sounds great.

The Rega P3-2000 hardly needs an introduction. It is a high end table capable of great sound. It excels at "letting go of the notes". The Shure M97 is an especially good match with the Rega, and sounds smooth yet detailed.

I have the original box and packing material, and will also double box for safe delivery. Shipping is at cost via fedex from 53051 for 30 pounds, with insurance. Anyone know if this can be refitted w/ the electronically controlled motor of the P3-24/P25?

This table could be a good start, then improve it down the road. Yeah, would cost more in the long run than just going w/ a newer model, but could be a lower cost way to get my feet wet and help a fellow AC'er w/ a sale.

I'm not sure the P3-24 motor is available separately. There are motor controllers  available for the P3-2000. I think these would be worth it if a lot of listening is done at both 33 and 45 rpm, becasue the speec can be switched electronically.
