piccolo problem?
« on: 25 May 2010, 11:31 pm »
This is a problem i have encountered twice with my piccolo.I use a dremel too to cut the shaft to the correct size and it messes up the rotary knob. Now it does not turn of and off,It does not turn up gain and the loading knob play's uneven on some setting's and effect's the sound way more than before i cut the shaft.
Last time i had to replace the whole assembly.Any idea's?
I'm wondering if the round locking collar on top of the switch's might be the problem?
Where do they go stock?
I had to take apart both as they had separated.I lost the ball bearing's but replaced both.Could i have messed something up internally?

Sounds to me like you did not put the bolt back to hold down the locking ring when you cut off the shaft.  If that locking ring moves to a different position it will cause the problems you describe.  That happened to me.
