So....."who can show a photo of the display?"
Even the BCD-1s display can be turned off from the remote, love listening in the dark.

Robert

This is a most awesome feature, my Esoteric has the same capabilities and I do not get “display saturated” when I am enjoying my music.

Hi 1oldguy,

I will certainly put the word out you have 3 amps for sale. Can you email me the serial numbers at jamestanner@bryston.com

James

Hi James

No disrespect....But this is what you said you would do when I first bought them a few months back.It feels like I'm going round in circles.
Kinda of at a loss as to why you can take back a 3 years old used product for a full refund, but can't do more for new sealed products? On top of the fact I would gladly wait till they were sold before getting my money back.

Personally, I would not want to purchase returned audio equipment for as “new pricing,” even if it was unopened, I would still consider it used and value it accordantly. Bryston could not claim that this gear is new anyway. If I was looking at purchasing this level of audio equipment brand new, I would want the components to be “built” for me and not be second hand - once again, my vanity peeks out.

Having said this - I can understand why Bryston is offering a refund for Hoiman, the equipment was altered by an authorized repair facility and it no longer meets all of the original criteria’s for Hoiman’s purchase. Normally I would not of added my comments on an issue such as this, as this was posted in an open forum and not by private correspondence, this etiquette does not apply under these circumstances.

Caveat emptor and perhaps more importantly,  “The demo is everything.”

Oldguy.... I don't know the full story of your amps.... are they defective... a sale is a sale.... unless the equipment is faulty and under warranty and the manufacturer cannot repair and bring it up to the published specs....

Now do us a cool discount and we might be interested...

Hi Nap

They have never been opened.Straight from the factory to me.My living situation changed that's all.Hence the reason I need some good will.
Again they are spanking new.As in not ever seen by me only Bryston, bought new still sealed.I must have set a new record for amps purchased the longest without opening them.

Hi 1oldguy, I assume you've tried selling them on Audiogon/ebay/hifi forums etc? My gear has usually sold within a reasonable time and for a reasonable price whenever I've advertised it online.  Bryston gear tends to sell quite quickly these days due to its warranty and rep, so it will be well worth a try making an online selling effort if you haven't done it already.

Wow time really does fly. I had thought you had your amplifiers just before I purchased mine. List them and you will sell them, you do not see a lot of Bryston gear "for sale" very long.

For some unexplained reason Bill, I always look forward to reading your posts  :thumb:

Thanks for the kind remarks, Andy.  As you may recall I was the first to inquire of your absense when you went MIA for a month or so at the end of last year.  The circle is not the same without your colorful posts.

Regards,

Bill

Try listing them on CAM

I listed and sold multiple older Bryston components including 4B-ST, BP-20, BDA-1 on this site

Longest time between posting ad and meeting with buyer to close sale was 2 days

You will not realize what you originally paid for the components but should be able to recover at least 75 percent of the original cost if they are about a year old IMO
