Salk in Boston
« on: 24 Apr 2010, 06:08 pm »
I had a chance to hang out with Oneinthepipe and OgOgilby yesterday after I gave one of my dreary lectures on FTC advertising policy.  Oneinthepipe accelterated me from point to point in his new tricked out Suburu, and OgOgilby played his HT2 TL system for me.  He has a large room with careful speaker positioning and room treatment--it certainly works.  I've never heard imaging that precise.  I am missing a left kidney--I think it's embedded in the Suburu passanger seat back.  Anyhow, I had a great time (and a great free dinner--Thanks Oneinthepipe).  I don't know what it is about this hobby that attracts such nice people.  It's always a pleasure.

Dennis,

Glad to hear that you had nice time yesterday.

Sorry that I couldn't have you over as planned - maybe next year.

Dennis,

The pleasure was ours! It was great having both you and Oneinthepipe "drop-in" on us (and our dogs - sorry about your suits) and you are correct about the hobby attracting nice people. I doubt that your lecture on FTC advertising policy was dreary to your audience. I'm still chuckling about your Accuton driver testing experience story at dinner.

Glad to hear that your survived the ride to the airport in Oneinthepipe's "wicked awesome" Subaru, only losing of one your kidneys. It might have been quicker than flying if he just drove you home...

Thanks so much for the "imaging" compliment

You're always welcome when you are in the Boston area!

A little herky-jerky first gear acceleration on that unmarked entrance ramp to the Callahan Tunnel.   That was all.

Great having you visit, Dennis, and OgOgilby's system sounds great.
