ISO - ADVICE for HT Set Up
« on: 4 May 2010, 10:47 pm »
Hi there, I am loving my two channel set up and have been thinking about a HT Set up.  A couple of things I need is a Pre/Processor and Perhaps Amp:

- Pre/Pro has to have HDMI input/output
- I am using my PS3 as the source for Blu-ray as well as Multi-Channel SACD
- I would like to incorporate my Front L/R channels via my current Stereo set up
- If it's a Processor / Receiver with amp function, need at least 80wpc
- 5 Channel is fine, 7 is better, but not neccessary
- Budget for just the processor would be around $800 new or used
- Would like stereo sub output

If you have any recommendations, that would be welcomed!

Thanks in advance!

- An HT Bypass would be great!  I would like to incorporate my Front L/R channels via my current Stereo set up

If you want to incorporate your Front L/R stereo channels (power amp & speakers) into the HT setup, it is your stereo preamp that would need to have the HT Bypass input.  This would send the L/R pre-out from the HT processor to the power amp, bypassing the preamp's volume control.
