Hi,

I still have a LCR 15 in maple.

This is the match with your JR"s.

Cor

I'm currently using the LCR 15 with my VR4-Jr's but will be upgrading to the Euro Mk III.  Will the LCR 15 still be close enough to timbre match the upgraded speaker?

Hi Dude,

Nice to hear again.

The LCR 15 will match, the LCR 15 is rather 'all round'.
Just there where you need it, sound from the screen.

Enjoy,

Cor

the UniField 3s are sooo tweakable. Better stands give better results. Also, isolating the top module effectively makes for more soundstage clarity

My burn-in period is about 500 hours now and the Uni's are delicious and the sound gives me chicken skin sometimes.
I'm sooo happy with this beauty's
I tried different positions and distances, with and without toe-in. After all the starting position sounds best in my situation.
Straight forward, about 8' from each other, 2' from left and right wall and 1' from the back wall.

After reading the stereo times review (thanks Martin) I tried a little tweak too.
The better (best possible I think) stands I already have so what could I do more?  Filling the stands with lead?
I saved the vibrapods from the VR4's and putted them under the top cabinet.
I think the look is good and the sound...........not too bad, I have to listen more but there seem to be a little positive difference in clarity

B.t.w. I'm still waiting for story's of other Uni 3 users !!!

Vibrapod Warning! Hi Wim, Vibrapods sometimes leak an oily substance that may or may not damage your finish. Just thought you might want to know.

All the best,

Jack

Check out the Herbie's Audio Lab Von Schweikert Special for a set of his ' big fat dots' to support the upper modules. I prefer these to the stock footers or vibrapods on my VR5s. Agree, the 'pods also can leave a residue mark on some woods. There's a thread on this issue here.

Thanks for the warning Jack!
I have used this vibrapods under my VR4's a couple of years without a problem but you can't be careful enough.

Searching for other alternatives brought me to : http://www.enjoythemusic.com/superioraudio/equipment/0108/von_schweikert_vr_4sr_mk2.htm

Anybody who knows them, or better, uses them?

Finally my surround loudspeakers cabinet's arrived after 6 months of waiting.
They are built with the Fostex FX120 without a filter, only a baffle step correction
We did listen to them as front speakers and the sound of it is so clear and beautiful. We expected a lack of low but the size of the cabinet in combination with the critical measured bassport does not produce the lowest but is very acceptable for a not too big room as mine.

Do they look familiar?  At least they sound familiar.
All is in perfect balans with the unifield 3's

They have to break-in for some hours but they already sound great at this moment.

(sorry Albert!  no money left for your amazing Unifield1's)

Today I calibrated the rear loudspeaker with the Unifields3's and the center.
Started the DTS cd from David Gilmour's On an Island and had a serious listening.
This is amazing!  All is in perfect balance and sounds so clear and beautiful!
Life's good!!   :D
