I am processing my last batch of FE126e as we speak if you can't find a pair of stock ones (or want to get something a step up from stock)

What cabinet are you planning to put these in?

As in the actual Frugel-Horn or one of the Spawns or the A126?

We are now at the stage of building the proof-of-concept of the Frugel-Horn Mk3.

I have a pair of 127's, and a pair of 126's, just mounted them once or twice, if nobody else does.

I wasn't rushing to sell but if someone has a great need, I'll put them back into circulation (pm if interested).

OT but Dave, once upon a time, you sent Phil Townsend a pair of 126/127 which had the tri-foil pattern but no other treatment.  Do you recall if that was 126 vs. 127?

Purchased in conjunction with the beta FH Mk1 flatpaks so FE126

I may be interested in your left over FE127 (in particular) and FE126 (if OP doesn't scoopt them up). The latter depending on how well this last batch matches up.

Is there a problem with the availability of new FE126s and 127s? I hadn't heard that, but also haven't been looking. I just checked the Madisound site and it seems there's a bunch of Fostex drivers that are out of stock.

I also have a pair of 127s and 126s that I could let go...not using either pair. One of the 126s had the dustcap dented by my 3 yr old, but I managed to fix it somewhat.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for that!  I hope your new batch measures really well but let me know if not.  Do you have the new-fangled drivers yet?

Hi acresm22,

Fostex is refreshing their lineup.  Alas, there is no FE127E anymore and I don't know if there ever will be (but maybe it's right around the corner, who knows?)

Glad I got my 167 eN's while available. With Dave's polka dots, they're one nice driver!

FE126e & FE127e are both discontinued (all FExx6 & FExx7)

There are new FExx6En (not to be confused with my eN versions of the old drivers), but specs are different. I have 4 of the FE206En on the bench waiting to be measured, sorted & treated. FE126En just arrived, still in the packing box.

Rumour, inuendo, and me taking a wild guess only. No FExx7 but maybe higher Q FFs. And I know Mark Fenlon is aware of the void left by the FExx7s disappearing, and with him working with the guys who designed the original FEs & FFs (Matsuburo-san, the spider on the A7 & A12) who knows what will come of that -- the special edition Alpair 10 that is mentioned could tell us a lot. As it is, barring the efficiency, the EL70 is a good sub for the FE127.
