Level Progression
« on: 22 May 2010, 02:54 pm »
I got into home audio seriously about 10 years ago, at entry level the sound was good. With progressive upgrades, analyzing the sound each step of the way. I'm fortunate that every upgrade improved the sound to a higher level. Eventually you reach a sonic level and you ask yourself, "how can it get any better than this?" But it can and does.

Acquiring a quality power conditioner, the system sound has yet again being elevated to a higher level. How can it be improved on!? When you've reached the moon do you need to go to Mars? No, but if the opportunity comes along why not? :smoke:

Things can improve almost endless. Unfortunately at some point in time the steps get smaller and smaller, but the pricetag becomes larger and larger.
By the time you have spent over a million $ on a wall to wall speaker system I think the only possible wy to improve is to simply hire the artists and have them play live in your living room...

For much less you can attend concerts. At least for classical / acoustic music this works fantastic.
