Here's a million dollar question... Does the stereo RCA output on a PS3 downmix the 5.1 Blu Ray tracks? I know that if one selects the stereo 2.0 track on a Blu Ray disc then the PS3 will output a correct stereo output, but if one selects a DTS-MA 5.1 track, will the PS3 properly downmix it into a stereo output?
The reason I ask, is that dialogue on some Blu Rays is significantly lower than everything else on the recording. Which leads me to believe that the stereo output is only outputting the L/R channels and the center (where most dialogue is concentrated) is not being downmixed into the L/R.
Do any of you have a for sure answer regarding this?
