How would these perform vs. a traditional floor stander?  Aspects where they'd over/under perform, purely from a design point of view?

Well you of course lose the rear wave radiation and that affects the soundstage depth. Driver choices are also much more limited (shallow cabinet) but some excellent combinations are still possible. One advantage is you have minimal baffle step loss so the overall sensitivity is higher.

We modified the cabinet design to allow for in-wall use.  :thumb:
