We just finished a nearfield monitor and a state-of-the-art 3-way and matching center channel are in progress.  :thumb:

If I were to design a 3 way based on what I've seen Rick mention, I would guess he might use the 7" Scan Speak Illuminator aluminium woofer that is being used in the Verita's, and add a 10" Scan-Speak Revelator Aluminum woofer to fill in the bottom.  :eyebrows:

But then again, I could be totally wrong.  :D

This is a monitor but your combination is also a good one.

Rick,

Any plans on using the Accuton C96?  Seems with the rather high sensitivity it's begging to be put in a "home theater" aimed speaker.

The cost of the drivers alone is just massive.

Sure it could be used but only in certain applications. If you're thinking of it being a woofer the bass extension will be very limited.

Which RAAL are you using?

The 70-10D. It has the best performance of any ribbon I've tested in the top two octaves and is perfect for dome mids.
