How to hook up 4 track reel to reel

Yes it is playback only, it does a sort of din connetion input in the back

Check out this page http://www.obsoletemedia.com/tapedecks/teacmodels.htm Scroll down to about midway and you'll see the A-4000S. Seems to be a 4 track auto reverse style player. Meaning if there is sensing tape spliced on to the end of side one before the leader the deck will auto reverse and play the second side.
