I've been using this record weight on my WTL Amadeus GTA. It's very light (70 grams) so the design goal is not to add weight but to absorb vibration. I think it is a subtle improvement - more clarity and space between instruments. If there's a downside (isn't there always a trade-off), maybe it causes a little less leading-edge transient attack.
