SCA 35 amplifier modifications web page: preamp heaters, tape head input

My first post in this forum.  :green:
Anyway, I put together a web page describing a few modifications I did for the SCA 35 amplifier.  One is getting DC for the preamp tubes' heaters, and another where I changed the "tape head" low level input jack to make it a high level line input.  http://pw2.netcom.com/~wa2ise/radios/sca35.html

Nice.  So don't keep us in suspense.  How does it sound in comparison?
Have you accomplished the goal of lowering hum?  Have you improved the sonics?  Did raising the cathode potential affect the output stage at all?

It reduced the hum way down, and the sound is great.  no bad side effects, I don't think the cathode potential changed anything at all.   :thumb:
