I purchased mine from this eBay auction. Brand new, fast shipping and no-hum. I opened it up, desoldered the other voltage output wires from the board and replaced the five wire output with
this Philmore cable. I cut the output cable at the strain relief, pulled the wires out (leaving the cable insulation) fed the new cable through the strain relief and held it in place with a liberal application of superglue. Looks like it was made with the cable to fit the Squeezebox. I have not performed any other mods. It is a definite improvement over the tiny switching mode power supply provided with the Squeezebox.
