Three degrees of separation
« on: 11 Feb 2010, 08:24 pm »
With the Olympics coming up, we began to wonder...  Just how many degrees of separation exist between our deluxe spikes and Shawn White, snowboarding world champion?

Here is a photo of our deluxe bullet spikes as seen on the home page of Berner Scientific (www.bernerscientific.com - their shop is next door to ours).

Here is a photo from the same web site of a snowboarding trophy Berner was commissioned to manufacture for Burton Snowboards.

Here's how it comes together.

And here is a photo of Shawn White accepting the trophy from Mr. Burton himself.

OK, so the link is somewhat obtuse.  But, hey, its just for fun.

Thanks to our associate John Fallows for suggesting this post.

Somewhat related..... Danny Davis who is also sponsored by Burton rode with my brother in his early years at Alpine Valley in Highland, MI.  Danny was an Olympic hopeful until he broke his back riding an ATV in early Jan.

B/c many will not buy it because of cost....see my gallery for my aluminum speaker that I built.  It's very expensive to do.
