(Brown Electronic Labs) BEL 1001 Mk V monoblock amps.  Fantastic shape.  Phenomenal amps with well deserved reputation and following.

I bought them on Agon in 2008 and during shipping one amp was damaged.  Richard Brown went through them in the fall of 2008 and rebuilt them to like new and matched the pair.  In addition he added the 12v trigger on/off option ($125/ea). His quote to me before he shipped them "The amps get tuned after burn-in and I've been doing some additional work as well. They are responding nicely, match up well and conform to current spec.  They've been treated like new units and are effectively that. I hope I can finish over the weekend so they can go out to before Christmas."  They also have new shipping boxes and his recommended power cords.

I originally bought them to use with my Merlin VSM speakers and they sounded fantastic. I since switched to Joseph Audio RM33 speakers (84 db) a much more difficult speaker to drive and they performed equally as well. In the monoblock configuration they put out around 200 watts per channel in a pseudo Class A mode.

Only reason for selling is a need to system downsize and going back to an Integrated amp. I would prefer a bank check or money order.  Paypal is acceptable for the added 3% charge.   $4,800 for the pair / best offer.

Bump for a set of killer amps.

Among the best I've ever heard as mono's.  I used them on Aerial 10t's, Thiel 3.6's, and Merlin VSM-MXe's all with great success.  They also work very well to passive biamp either vertical or horizontal depending on your setup.  Very versatile.

Good luck with the sale!

Tom, thanks for the support.  I just got a full price offer last night and they are now sold, pending funds clearance.  Yahoo.
