CDP-8 feedback and photos

We have started to ship this new product in the past week.  All touch panel control (and remote control) with world class performance.
We like this $1450 CDP-8 better than a $7000 CDP that we used as reference to compare against during the development of CDP-8.

I can ensure you that CDP-8 sounds better than a $7000 CD player that we used as reference (not any more :)).

If you don't think CDP-8 is the best CDP-8 in the world, send back for full refund.  :thumb:

I heard the cdp-8 last week, the dealer said it had about 10hrs of playing time. The cdp-8 is a neat looking cd player, I love the cd tray and how it integrates with the body. The red led display and touch panel is also a great
feature.
With 10hrs on the player, it did every thing right (nuforce style). The cd playing was Norah Jones, and I really liked the portrait in front of me. Although the vocals did not sound as full or the cdp-8 lacked in the mids or it requires more time to burn-in like other nuforce product. Maybe the guys at nuforce can give us a better insight on that.
The cdp-8 was connected to the P-9 and Ref9-v2. One thing I should mention is, before listening to the cdp-8, I demoed the Bel Canto cdp and the latest offering from Stello which retail for far more, but I preferred the nuforce for it's detail & Soundstage.
It was Just the recessed mids that  kept me from actually getting it.

Well, unless *that* improves greatly with more burn-in, it would be of great concern to many of us..

It most likely will have to break-end.   Once you get about 300 hours the Cd player will open up i am sure!!  I don't know why a dealer would demo something not broken-end.  I would try to take it home and demo it in my system once its broken-end.
