With that in mind, I think I am going to do a little experiment with the plug & Play devices.  I can easily slip a section of copper tubing over them, and cover that with ERS on the OUTSIDE (thanks Robin).  I will let you know how it goes.


Ahh the holidays...Time with family, friends, and your new tweaks. :lol:

             As an update on my audition of Gordy's Quantum Symphony Pro, I've had a mixed bag of results. I first tried the unit plugged into
my BPT, this was not acceptable. :( The Pro robbed the music of any life and created a milky texture on my Sony XBR tv. I next tried plugging the Pro into my unused outlet on my dedicated circuit, which is lcated in my cellar away from my system. No good. :(  More of the same symtoms, like this quantum energy was overpowering my system. I then tried an outlet directly behind my tv,next to my audio rack. This outlet is on a circuit that runs thruout my living room but has no grounds, old house. :roll: All tho Gordy didn't approve, I used a cheater plug. Success! :o :D The effects are subtle but VERY desireable. I find an added sweetness that seems to come from added inner details that in turn creates a dimensional quality to the presentation. Is it worth the asking price of the Symphony Pro? :o Mmmm, a very subjective question that will require an individual answer. :bandhead: I WILL say that I love what this little gem brings to the table. :D I've been missing football games and losing sleep since friday when first presented with the package and finding the appropriate location. I will sorely miss the Symphony Pro when my audition time is done. Now if Gordy is having a positive experience with the 3 Z-Sleeves, it will be a worthwhile and successful audition from both fronts! :mrgreen: Regards, Robin

Most power conditioners don't like other power products plugged directly into them, especially products that have capacitance ( I don't know whether the Synphonies have any).

Once its in the system, it's really difficult  to take them out.   They are addicted.

I am getting kind of mixed results with the Z-sleeves.  I must say, one of the nicest places is on the captive AC cord of my HDTV.  The contrast and color saturation of the screen looks better, less noise too.

It sounds good on the digital cable between my transport and dac.  I took it off my ICs from DAC to ASR integrated system.  It sounded a bit rolled off there.  I will try again there later.  I have placed them on the speaker ends of my speaker cables, with a little bit of change.

It really improves the captive power cord of my tuner, and the ICs there too.  I'm curious to try it with the antenna cable too.

I've given it to a couple of audiophiles to try too, so we'll see what their results are.  

But my system has been alternating from bright to rolled off, which I suspect might be kind of a break in effect with these in the system.   So it will take a while to really get a final opinion on these.  I do know that it keeps slipping off the ends of my digital cable towards the middle of the cable.  This tends to roll off the highs, and I know to check this when my system begins to sound rolled off, and indeed the Z-sleeve has moved down the cable.  Not the easiest tweak to get your mind around. :o

I find it helps to tie them in place and take the support off the cable in question. I use cotton twine and for the most part tie them up tight to the component, be it amps, conditioner, processor, CDP but had to keep mine away from the speakers because of too much resolution. I don't understand this rolloff issue. For me, it's just the opposite. The highs are opened up and it's clarity comes shining thru, the more sleeves, the shinier the presentation. And for me, this holds true no matter where I place these things in my system. But I'm hearing these same issues that you bring up Tuckers, this just confuses me even more cuz I know what I know. The CAN always be sent back within 30 days don't forget. :D Regards, Robin

Not to unearth this old thread for no good reason.... but I felt compelled to offer my impressions after close to a month with 6 Z-Sleeves placed in my system.
I also use 10 Bybee Purifiers from Wayne as well a 6 sheets of ERS paper throughout my system and beyond (dimmer switch, AC sub panel, the Bolder Nitro cable to the Power bar, on the Power Bar, etc....).  And in the Modwright Pioneer DV 414 modded CDP and Panasonic DVD RV80.

The Z-Sleeves were placed AFTER the ERS.... and reside on my AP Oval 9 front trio to my Von Schweikert LCR-15's (VR-1's for surrounds). The other sleeves are on my two digital coax to my EAD Ovation+ pre/pro.  The last sleeve is around my component cable to my RPTV.

I heard no loss of the top end as some have noted.  Nothing but resolved and clean upper frequencies.  Granted, my HT type mid-fi setup lacks high end resolution, but the clarity of signal AFTER the Z-Sleeves brought my setup to another level.  Can one measure it ?  Probably not.  But the totality of the ERS, added to the Z-Sleeves, leaves me in a state of .... forget the HT.... play some more music.  It just sounds more natural.

BOK said, "forget the HT.... play some more music" :D Agreed! :D Seems like we have allot of similarities in our systems with the use of Bybee's and ERS and of course Z-Sleeves. Thank you for coming forward and verifying my thoughts. As a suggestion, you can obtain real good gains with Z-Sleeves on your power cords. Especially to your Power Bar and your pre/pro. Just some thoughts as I have 2 sleeves each on both my BPT conditioner and Sunfire TG3 processor power cords and I consider these applications the best locations for total system improvements in clarity resolution. As Chris Hoff of BPT will attest to, you simply can't have enough Z-Sleeves in your system. Regards, Robin
