Happiness with Salk's
« on: 23 Jan 2010, 08:09 pm »
It has been over 2 years since purchasing my 4 HT3's and HTC and I am still amazed at their clarity and performance. I originally purchased them for home theatre and for my SACD 5.1 disc and they were amazing from the start. What surprises me the most is how you never tire of them playing at higher than normal volume. They eliminated my upgraditis  for speakers I believe forever. However recently I decided to purchase turntable and try analog. By try I mean I now have 5 turntables with various cartridges and all the turntables are vintage direct drives. I only use the 2 front speakers and with each cartridge I and others are amazed at the imaging and clarity from the ribbon tweeters to the amazing bass. i have had listeners say they hear passages and instruments they had never heard before. Many people are amazed at the passages coming out of my center speaker. It is not connected and they don't believe me until I tell them to put their ear up to the center speaker. I just had to share with you after 2 years plus. All of this plus nobody ever walks into my great room without first noticing the beautiful cabinets.

Hi Dick, now that's gotta be 1 incredible system you have there. Could you offer up more details on your system, like components, room, etc? Better yet, maybe you'd consider filling your your system page so that it'll show up in all your posts just to the left under "System", like is shown in my post here.

I've heard your front HT setup in my friends system and was blown away from just that. Having another set of HT-3's in the rear is definitely taking things to the next level.  :thumb:

Thanks Dick, that is 1 mindblowing room w/o a doubt. You've definitely got the room for those HT-3's to breathe. Congrates.  :thumb:
