Hi,

I have a pair of lightly used (~ 100 to 150 hours) matched NOS RCA 12AX7 ... I have no use for them as the tube integrated, has been sold.

I need 12AU7 for a headphone amp - it uses only a single 12AU7 - so if you have two unmatched NOS 12AU7, I could consider trading them.

I am in NYC 11375 and we could arrange an exchange ...

PS: Just added Japanese International 12AT7 pair to the mix (I have the orignal box for this as well). I tried this tube in my amp - it sounds amazing! But I don't need a matched pair - but a varioety of good singles ...

I got four responses within an hour or so - amazing!

I tend to like neutral sound but don't mind warmth ...
Good Soundstage is extremely important and the bottom end has to be tight ...

I will be using it for headphones so the tubes can't be noisy ...

This is not my expertise so I am really open to all your experiences ...
I buy my tubes from Andy @ Vintage Audio and he is away on vacation.

Also I think trade is much better than buying and selling in this market.
How often are people looking for single 12AU7s - I think we are all in luck
